things fall apart

I just started reading “things fall apart” this week… I’ve seen it time and time again at Barnes & Noble on the summer reading table and always sort of wondered about it in the back of my mind. It’s part of my World Literature course this year. I’m not supposed to start World Lit until next semester, but the books came in the other day and they all looked so lovely and new and fresh and I just couldn’t help myself. + getting ahead never hurts : )
So far I’m liking it, I was having a hard time at the start keeping all the characters straight and remembering their names, but I think I’m finally oriented. I like the way this guy writes… he’s got the art of writing only what is necessary and leaving the rest to interpretation mastered perfectly.
Stay tuned.
