Who Am I?

Seeing as this is my first post, I probably ought to tell you a little bit about myself.

I love photography, as you’ve likely figured out. But I have a hard time sticking with any other art in particular… I love amigurumi, painting, drawing, collage, bleach painting… pretty much anything can entertain me for a short while, then I leave off of it for awhile until I eventually come back to it again.

I don’t know if that’s normal artist behavior or not, but it seems like a lot of the other art blogs I see the people do nothing but art all day, every day and I find that kind of exhausting. Nothing wrong with living that way, I think it’s pretty awesome when I run across someone like that.

But that’s just not me.

So what else do I do besides artsy loveliness?

School, for one. I’m a rising senior whose had dreams of working in the medical profession from age three. I kid you not, while most kids were reading Spot and Hungry Caterpillar (both of which I still adore to this day, by the way) I was begging my mom to read me “inside you” books. I’d pore over those anatomy books until I had them memorized.

And I still do.

Hopefully that’s in my future.

I work at a Christian summer camp during the summers and some weekends, and throughout the year I do a lot of outreach and volunteer activities… volunteer work isn’t something I sought out, but I realized that’s a huge chunk of my social life now, so I guess you could say it’s one of my hobbies.

As an only child, I live with my parents, a dog, two cats, and two lizards. And that’s pretty much everything you need to know about me to start. You’ll probably learn all about the inner workings of my day to day life if you carry on reading this blog despite my ranting and rambling.

Welcome. It’s nice to meet you : )
